At the meeting, Consul General Nguyen Hong Ha congratulated Mr. Suzuki Ken and Mr. Sugimoto Taihei for their new inaugurations as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Osaka Prefecture Parliamentary Council respectively. He also affirmed that the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka would work closely with the Council in order to further promote the relations between Osaka Prefecture and Vietnamese localities, as well as wish to arrange the Osaka Prefecture Parliament Council’s visit to Vietnam in a near future.
Mr. Suzuki expressed his pleasure to jointly promote the relations between Osaka and Vietnam. He also wished that Vietnam would actively participate in the Osaka EXPO 2025. Meanwhile, Mr. Suzuki and Mr. Ha also exchanged their views on the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam, especially in Ho Chi Minh City./.
