On 25 June 2021, Consul General Nguyen Hong Ha and Spouse lead the delegation of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka visiting Mimasaka city, Okayama Prefecture
During the visit, the delegation visited the Memorial site of President Ho Chi Minh, located in the Vietnamese space at Sakuto museum, Mimasaka city. Mayor Hagiwara Seiji welcomed the delegation at the museum and also offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh accordingly.
At the city town hall, Mayor Hagiwara Seiji, Deputy Mayor and other representatives of the city’s departments welcomed the delegation and cordially exchanged views and ways of cooperation in order to further promote the relations between Mimasaka city and Vietnam in the near future.
At the meeting, Mr. Hagiwara expressed his pleasure to welcome Consul General Nguyen Hong Ha’s first official visit to Mimasaka city and updated the detail information on the fruitful cooperation between Mimasaka city and Vietnam. He also affirmed to continue promoting the relations between Mimasaka city and Vietnamese localities, through implementing the specific plan of actions with Yen Bai province and Da Nang city, respectively. At the same time, Mayor Hagiwara expected to lead the City Delegation including representatives of Mimasaka city and businesses to visit Vietnam as soon as the Covid-19 pandemic would under control.
Consul General Nguyen Hong Ha emphasized the significance of the placement of the statue of President Ho Chi Minh in Mimasaka City. He also expressed his wish, in collaboration with Mimasaka City, to upgrade the space of Vietnam and the Memorial site of President Ho Chi Minh in order to widely share information about the history of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh to Japanese friends. Consul General Nguyen Hong Ha affirmed that the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka would work closely with Mimasaka city to further elevate the relations between the City and Vietnamese localities, especially Yen Bai province and Da Nang city./.
