On April 8, 2021, the Mayor of Sakai City, Mr. Nagafuji Hideaki, expressed his pleasure to receive Consul General Nguyen Hong Ha and his wish to further promote the ties between Sakai City and Vietnamese localities.
Consul General Nguyen Hong Ha recalled that 400 years ago, when the Japanese people from Sakai and Nagasaki came to Viet Nam for trading, many of them stayed in Hoi An. This had laid a solid foundation for promoting the Viet Nam - Japan relations, particularly the ties between Sakai City and Vietnamese localities. The Consul General affirmed that he would make every effort to further boost the cooperation between Viet Nam and Sakai city in all areas, especially investment, trade, tourism, human resource, and people-to-people exchange.
On this occasion, Consul General Nguyen Hong Ha also met with Ms. Miyamoto Keiko, Chairman of the Sakai City Parliamentary Council .
