On May 15, 2021, the Consulate General of Viet Nam in Osaka held a golf tournament and launching ceremony of the Vietnamese Golf Association in Kansai.
Present at the events were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Viet Nam to Japan Vu Hong Nam, Consul General of Viet Nam in Osaka Nguyen Hong Ha and more than 30 golfers from different localities in the Kansai region.
At the ceremony, Consul General Nguyen Hong Ha officially announced the establishment of the Vietnamese Golf Association. He emphasized its significance in promoting sports exchanges, enhancing mutual support and unity, and fostering patriotism among Vietnamese in Kansai.
The Association currently has over 30 members with Consul General Nguyen Hong Ha being the senior advisor; Mr. Duong Quang Tri, a businessman in Osaka, being the Chairman; and Mr. Trang Tien Vuong, Nguyen Van Thang, Tran Trong Minh and Bui Ngoc Tu as members of the Executive Board.
