From 25th to 27th June 2021, some fresh Vietnamese fruits (including lychee, coconut, dragonfruit, banana) and some other food products (Hao Hao noodles, instant Phở, frozen fish,…) were introduced, promoted and sold at Aeon supermarkets in Kansai region.

Within the framework of implementing the Project: "Promoting Vietnamese enterprises to directly participate in foreign distribution systems" of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, Vietnam Trade Office in Osaka has closely coordinated with Kinki Aeon Retails Company to promote this year program of introducing and selling Vietnamese products across Aeon supermarket chains in the Kansai region.

Although in Kansai region, the program's scale, product ranges and quantity are still limited, Vietnamese fresh fruits and foods are warmly welcome and highly appreciated and are the main theme of "Asia Gourmet" program.

In particular, this year the Vietnamese products booth was outstandingly decorated, with basic information and introductory video clips in Japanese so that Japanese customers can easily access (such as fresh lychee).

According to statistics of Kinki Aeon Retails Company, Vietnamese fresh fruits including fresh lychee have been fastly sold although were just imported and sold in Japanese market since last year. Most Japanese consumers who tried Vietnamese fruits expressed their love and high appreciation of the quality of the fruits.
